Youth empowerment campaign focuses on cultivating five essential strengths

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended the awareness campaign on five kinds of strength for youths jointly held by the Ministry of Information, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs at No 11 BEHS in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Speaking at the event, the Union minister said the literary talks was held for the youths to gain the right knowledge and they should focus on the words of speakers at the event. The students should have self-confidence and must be brave.
He then highlighted the priority the Prime Minister had given to the students who are the leaders of the future including his instructions to hold literary talks at the schools.
He also added that the students will have to serve the State duties in the future so they should be brave and reliable citizens of the country in carrying out their duties decisively.
Next, Sayamagyi Daw May Kyawt Shin continued the talks highlighting the proper guidelines for the students regarding their knowledge, morality, the need to read different genres, explore knowledge from outstanding ones and avoid the drugs, preserve the traditions and so on.
Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn donated books and journals for the school library and Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Myo Hlaing handed over the sports-related materials to Headmistress Daw Thet Thet Thin.
The event also features colourful photo contests “Hla Pa Thayar Pyi Myanmar”, a mobile library with books and journals to develop the five strengths of students, fun games of MRTV-4 artistes, the awarding section for winners and other fun activities for the students. — MNA/KTZH
