Yinmabin Township reopens basic education schools

IMG_20150807_222336 6Chairman of Yinmabin Township Natural Disaster Management Committee U Soe Win and party provided rice, foodstuff, medicines and purified drinking water to 100 households from flood-affected villages as of 5 August.
Well-wishers donated 74 bags of rice, foodstuffs, instant noodle and clothes for people from 435 households from None, Kyaukhmaw, Saythu and Thanbo villages where Sagaing Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs Col Kyi Niang and officials met with flood victims.
As of 7 August, flooding is receding from Chindwin River. Local authorities supervised sanitation tasks of volunteers at schools, monasteries, roads, bridges and houses. Basic education primary schools reopened in five villages on 6 August and Kyaukhmaw BEHS on 7 August. Arrangements are being made to reopen six more schools in the township.
