Yangon-Kawthoung-Ranong container shipping starts 28 June

The container shipping to and fro Yangon-Kawthoung-Ranong for Myanmar-Thailand border trade will commence at the end of June 2024, the Ministry of Commerce stated.
MV Beypore Sultan of Gold Shipping Agency Services Limited loaded with maize will leave for Thailand’s Ranong Port on 28 June 2024. It will carry goods from Ranong to Yangon Port.
That border trade must be in accordance with the standard operation procedures (SOPs) of the departments concerned, according to the Ministry of Commerce’s export and import news bulletin 1/2024.
The Trade Department notified exporters and importers on 8 May to enquire about Myanmar-Thailand container shipping procedures.
The Trade Department under the Ministry of Commerce released the news bulletin 1/2024 that it gave the go-ahead to container shipping to and fro Yangon-Kawthoung-Ranong for Myanmar-Thailand border trade.
The sample related to licence information is mentioned on the Myanmar Tradenet 2.0 system. An applicant must select Yangon in Licence Nos 6 and 7 for imports, and Yangon in Licence No 6 and Ranong in Licence No 7 for exports.
