Workshop on attending Japan’s online seminar on economic policies 2021 held

The workshop on attending the online “Seminar on Economic Policies 2021” hosted by Japan was held on 17 June in Nay Pyi Taw, in line with the COVID-19 prevention and control guidelines.
The workshop was chaired by Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance U Maung Maung Win. They discussed the activities of Japan in areas of “Public Expenditure Management; Tax Policy; Fiscal and Monetary Policy; COVID-19 and Economic Challenges;” and recommendations on policies that Myanmar should implement.
At the workshop, Deputy Director for Budget Department Daw Su Su Maw, who attended the seminar, presented the seminar experience and Japan’s policy implementations. Then, attendees were divided into groups and made suggestions on Myanmar’s public expenditure management, tax policy, fiscal and monetary policy, and COVID-19 and economic challenges based on the experiences of Japan. — MNA
