Worker sending to be suspended along with fine if agencies don’t send report before 26 July

If agencies fail to submit report on employment contracts before 26 July, worker sending process will be suspended and fine will be introduced, Safe Migration warned.

Safe Migration released a list of 206 agencies which have yet to submit personal information of workers who were sent abroad as from April to December 2023 and stated that those which have not sent any worker abroad must also report before 26 July 2024 to [email protected]. Those who were freshly granted license in 2024 will have to send report that they haven’t sent any worker to the mail too.

According to statement released on 9 June 2024, there are 565 licensed overseas employment agencies in Myanmar.

In announcement on list of agencies which haven’t submit monthly reports on sending workers for May, Safe Migration said these listings play an important role and thus the agencies should follow them with respect and added that it would be better to return the license if the agency cannot work as per the license’s conditions as it was a disturbance in their duty to work with.
