Woman arrested with explosives in Monywa, security forces continue seizing illegal weapons

Security forces arrested a woman suspect together with a box in which 80 cartridges of NEOGLE-90 brand, 390 detonators and one 25-metre-long detonating fuse in Monywa, Sagaing Region, on 23 May.
The box was found in the “Aung Mingala” bus while the bus was under search, and according to the driver, it belonged to a woman named Sein Le Ye, 29, who later was arrested when she came to pick it up near Aung Mahar road, Htan Taw ward, Monywa.
Similarly, two guerilla clothes, two homemade bombs, six plastic shields, five fibre helmets and other related items were confiscated from the basement and hut in the west of Sin Oh Bo monastery in the 9th street, Shwe Chi ward in Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday morning.
It is reported that plans are underway to take actions against the perpetrators of the crimes. — MNA
