Pyinmana Sangha Hospital donated more than K14.6million to 38 patients for having kidney dialysis in July, with the help of public contribution, said the hospital superintended Dr Than Min Htut.

The hospital’s renal ward could provide dialysis for 90 patients for 561 times in last month and sought a funding to give free dialysis for 38 poor patients out of 90, he wrote on his Facebook page.

The public donation for free dialysis is worth up to K14.6 million and for maintenance of dialysis machines, Daw San San Htwe from Kabarkyaw sack bag manufacturing in Yangon donated K1.2million as a new year donation.

Depending on levels of the disease, times of kidney dialysis are different; some need eight times a month and some need six times a month, he wrote on his Facebook page.

Each dialysis costs K55000 so six times cost K330,000 and eight times cost K440,000.

In June, the hospital could donate more than K15 million for 37 kidney patients for having dialysis.

Over last three months from April to June, Pyinmana Sangha Hospital provided free medical treatments for total 2084 monks and nuns who have financial difficulty; 584 in April, 713 in May and 787 in June.
