Well-wishers contribute donations to national COVID-19 committee, MoHS

Donors presented cash funds and medical supplies to the National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the Ministry of Health and Sports at the Pyiduangsu Hall of the Kyaikkasan Stadium in Tamway Township, Yangon yesterday.
On behalf of the donors and Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association, U Nay Win Tun explained the purpose of the donation.
Director General of the Public Health Department Dr Tha Tun Kyaw expressed words of thanks to the donors.
The director-general received the donations handed over by the well-wishers, and returned certificates of honour to them.
At the ceremony, 12 well-wishers donated a total of K 2,593 million and US$ 11,400 worth of cash funds and medical supplies. Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association donated K 2,100 million worth of 50,000 PPEs and eight accessories, Myanmar Shwe Nagar Agricultural Group Co., Ltd and China Merchants Group 4,000 PPEs, 4,000 glasses and 4,500 masks, and UPG Paint & Coating Co., Ltd six ventilators.
Jade Mountain Gem Co., Ltd. contributed K100 million, Lighthouse Enterprise Limited K50 million, Daw Khin Yone and family two ventilators, and Myanmar Club (Singapore) K13.2 million.
Telecom International Company Limited donated K 22.4 million, alumni of Geology 1979 Batch RASU K2.6 million, Advanced Synergy Co., Ltd 60 PPEs, 60 long gloves, 60 glasses, 60 shoes and 60 N95 masks, Pure White Group K 2.778 million, and Myanmar Labour Social Welfare Centre (ROK) US$ 11,400 worth of 1,100 COVID-19 RT-PCR Test Kits.—Min Thit (MNA) (Translated by Kyaw Zin Tun)
