Weapons, related materials used in riots confiscated in Mandalay, Yangon regions

Security forces confiscated weapons and related materials to be used in terrorist attacks in Kyaukse Township in Mandalay Region, Hmawby and North Okkalapa townships in Yangon Region on 17 May.
Two homemade guns made of plastic pipes, one homemade air gun made of plastic pipes, and related materials were confiscated. Seven men (one from Kyaukse and six from North Okkalapa) were arrested together with them.
It is reported that plans are underway to take action against the owners of the weapons and equipment and those who stored them under the law. — MNA
