According to the Department of Small-Scale Industries under the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development, vocational training courses will be initiated, and business-related equipment provided to expand the Village Income Enhancement Project to 221 villages in the financial year 2024-2025.
The selection of villages for project implementation is based on criteria such as abundant raw materials, potential for production using local resources, secure and efficient transport, and development focus.
The pilot project commenced in 151 villages starting from the financial year 2023-2024. — TWA/TKO
