University admission applications to open on 25 August

According to the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, applications for admission to the university of those who passed the 2023 Matriculation Examination will be accepted from 25 August.
For the application, they must personally collect the score list and summary of qualifications from the supervisors of the examination department (heads of basic education high schools) where they took the exam, the guidebook for admission to the university, and the form in the envelopes to apply for admission to the university starting from 25 August.
The application envelopes will be received at the relevant universities from 25 August to 10 September, including Saturdays and Sundays.
Applications for university admission will be accepted at 26 universities nationwide, including universities in Yangon and Mandalay and other major cities.
Those who have passed the deadline can send their university admission application to the Department of Higher Education (Yangon Branch) at Thaton Road, Kamayut Township.
In the 2023 matriculation exam under the old system, nearly 100,000 out of more than 160,000 candidates passed the exam, with 67.87 per cent of pass rate. —TWA/KZL
