Union Ministers attend ASEAN-China Forum on Nuclear Tech in Bangkok

Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin and Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw visit an exhibition displayed by China National Nuclear Cooperation in Bangkok, Thailand, on 16 August 2024.

Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin and Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw attended the “Seminar on ASEAN-China Forum for Peaceful Use of Nuclear Technology” held yesterday in Bangkok, Thailand.
The seminar began with opening remarks by Mr Liu Jing, Vice-Chairman of the China Atomic Energy Authority, followed by discussions led by experts from various related fields.
During the event, Union Ministers U Ko Ko Lwin and Dr Myo Thein Kyaw met Mr Liu Jing, Vice-Chairman of the China Atomic Energy Authority and Mr Zhang Kai, Vice-Chairman of China National Nuclear Cooperation.
They discussed potential collaborations with the People’s Republic of China in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and the development of human resources.
In the evening, they attended a dinner hosted by the China Atomic Energy Authority.
The Union ministers also visited an exhibition organized by China National Nuclear Cooperation, where they were welcomed by Mr Liu Jing, who provided insights into nuclear energy developments. — MNA/KZL
