U Aung Naing Oo, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, Vice-Chairman of Myanmar Investment Commission, U Shwe Lay and Union Minister for Construction and U Hla Soe, Chairman of the Yangon Region Administration Council accompanied by departmental officials inspected the investment of manufacturing autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, autoclaved pressed concrete blocks and high quality fire proof blocks in Danyingon of Insein Township in Yangon Region, this morning.
The team led by Union Ministers and Chairman of the Yangon Region Administration Council took a tour around and inspected the operation of the industry.
Then, on behalf of the industry, Managing Director, U Soe Yee, explained facts about the operational conditions, operational challenges and investment issues at the meeting room of the industry. The Union Ministers and the Chairman of Yangon Region Administration Council discussed and noted to increase productivity and availability of market, to focus on the environmental conservation and to be able to use more products of the industry in construction sites and projects.
The industry manufactures 315 million autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, autoclaved pressed concrete blocks and high quality fire proof blocks per year.
The production of these import-substitute high technology concrete bricks as a substitution of soil bricks can help environmental conservation by improving the flow of water along the river since the use of river sand in manufacturing processes, reducing the impact on soil quality and the release of carbon dioxide, preventing the loss of cultivated land and deforestation. —MNA
