Union Minister for Industry visits textile factories in Mandalay Region

Union Minister for Industry, Dr Charlie Than, and officials visited No 7 Textile Factory (Myittha) in Kyaukse District, Mandalay Region, on 27 July to observe the production processes.
The Union minister conversed with factory employees, urging them to use 1/40 thread as the pole thread in weaving fabrics, ensure quality control throughout the production process to strengthen each thread, maintain uniform thread size, perform equipment maintenance and adjustments, and increase production to create more job opportunities along the production chain from cotton to textiles.
Later, the Union minister and his team visited No 2 Textile Factory (Paleik) in Singaing Township, Mandalay Region, where they observed production processes including dyeing and the textile circular economy. He encouraged efforts towards good quality and innovation.
At the home accomplice factory (Minsu) and Pharmaceutical Factory (Inyaung), the Union minister urged employees to produce high-quality products at reasonable prices.
The Union minister also visited No 7 Textile Factory branch (Wundwin), where he met with textile entrepreneurs for discussions on development of production chain. The entrepreneurs, the managing director of No 3 Heavy Industries Enterprise, and the deputy director-general of the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection exchanged views.
The Union ministers also viewed round various production processes such as weaving, cotton sewing thread production, and dyeing at Leaders Textile Public Co Ltd, and Poe Pyone Cho Company. — MNA/TMT
