Union Health Minister receives delegation led by Thai Ambassador

Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win receives Mr Mongkol Visitstump, Thai Ambassador, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Union Health Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win received the delegation led by Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar Mr Mongkol Visitstump yesterday morning at the Ministry of Health in Nay Pyi Taw.
They frankly exchanged views on matters in connection with the success of cooperation between the two countries in the prevention, control and treatment of the Covid-19 pandemic, speeding up control activities of malaria, tuberculosis and venereal diseases in border areas, the establishment of a high-quality treatment hospital in Dawei, Tanintharyi Region with the support of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), increasing medical education and signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with medical universities in Thailand and promoting cooperation in the health sector of the two countries.
The meeting was attended by the deputy minister, the director-general (Union Minister’s Office), the director-general (Department of Public Health), the director-general (Medical Services Department), the director-general (Human Resources for Health Department) and officials of the Ministry of Health. — MNA/TS
