Union Health Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win, currently in India, received a delegation led by Shri Sarbanada Sonowal, Minister of Ayush & Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, yesterday evening in Guwahati, India.
Both sides frankly discussed and exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries in the development of the traditional medicine sector, teaching from Indian traditional medicine practitioners at the University of Traditional Medicine (Mandalay), exchange of knowledge scholars from India in annual conferences of Traditional Medicine Practitioners in Myanmar, traditional medicine research paper reading sessions, mutual study tours of traditional medicine experts from both countries, scientific research on traditional medicines, and exportation of high-quality traditional medicinal raw materials.
In the evening, the Union minister and delegation members enjoyed a dinner hosted by the Ministry of Ayush, India. — MNA/TS
