A two-headed baby (Dicephalic Parapagus) was born at Mandalay General Hospital on 7 March. The baby is in good health and is being monitored by the hospital, according to the baby’s family.
“At present, the baby’s health condition is fine. The baby was born in a rare condition with two heads on one body. It was a Cesarean section. The baby is being given oxygen for ease of breathing,” said a family member. Despite being in good health, the baby is required to be kept under observation at the hospital.
The parents are residents of Tamarpin village, Lelu village-tract in Magway Region’s Myothit township.
“Although the baby has two heads, for this moment, we have no plan to undergo surgery to remove them,” said the family member.
As the parents are from the working class, they need assistance, and currently, the hospital and Parahita groups have been providing help. Donations are welcomed, and the father’s phone number is 09 424388572. — MT/ZS/ED
