Two dolphins spotted stranded on Gyainggee beach, Shwethaungyan town

Two dolphins were found stranded on Gyainggee beach in Ward 3 of Shwethaungyan in Pathein District, Ayeyawady Region at 6 am on 27 June morning.
The local residents informed the authorities about this, and an administrator of Ward 3 and the official from Shwethaungyan Fisheries Department checked the dolphins and set them into the sea at 8:45 am in the morning.
One dolphin has 6’1″ in length, 2’7″ in diameter, 7″ long dorsal fin and 9″ long pectoral fin and 1’4″ long flukes. Another one has 6’3″ in length, 2’7″ in diameter, 1’9″ long flukes, 7″ long dorsal fin and 9″ long pectoral fin.—Shwethaungyan IPRD/GNLM
