Tug vessel rescues fishermen after boat capsizes near Maday Island

A tug vessel operated by the China-Myanmar Oil & Gas Company rescued four fishermen after their local fishing boat capsized near Maday Island off Kyaukpyu in Rakhine State around 9 am on 29 June 2024, due to strong winds and heavy swell.
The tug quickly reached the fishermen, deploying life rings for their rescue. All four men were safely retrieved within 15 minutes. Additionally, the tug towed the fishing boat back to shore. — GNLM
