Toll collection for new Bago River Crossing Thanlyin Bridge 3 to begin on 15 June

According to the Ministry of Construction, tolls for the newly-opened Thanlyin Bridge 3 across the Bago River will be collected from vehicles starting 15 June.
Tolls for the bridge were waived from 8 to 14 June. It has also been announced that the tolls will vary based on the types of vehicle.
In this regard, private cars weighing less than three tonnes will be charged K500, small passenger vehicle Hilux, light truck, Dyna and Canter, K1,000, mini-bus, passenger vehicles Hino and Hyundai K2,000, 6- or 8-wheeled small trucks K4,000, overload fine K12,000, 10, 12- or 14-wheeled heavy truck and trailer K12,000 and overload fine K22,000, 18- or 22-wheeled trailer K22,000 and overload fine K66,000 and empty trailer K4,000.
A total of 12,988 vehicles in various types drove along the bridge on the opening day of the bridge. Yesterday, a total of 31,509 vehicles rolled on the bridge. — TWA/ TRKM
