The 16th ceremony of receiving words of advice from venerable Ovadacariya Sayadaws from the Uppatasanti pagoda board of trustees was held yesterday evening in Nay Pyi Taw.
The ceremony was attended by venerable Sayadaws led by Chairman Sayadaw of the Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Ovadacariya of the Uppatasanti Pagoda Board of Trustees, Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru, Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Bhamo Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa.
Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Dr Maung Maung Naing, the Permanent Secretary and Directors-General and officials attended to receive the words of advice from the venerable monks.
At the ceremony, the Union Minister and the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman presented religious matters.
The Chairman Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee and the Secretary of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Thanlyin Minkyaung Sayadaw, delivered words of advice.
The Union Minister, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and attendees donated offertories to the venerable Sayadaws.
The words of advice of the Secretary of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee and the Uppatasanti Pagoda Board of Trustee were also delivered, and the ceremony was concluded after receiving the teachings of Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa Sayadaw. — MNA
