Textbooks and stationery provided to 29 Myanmar migrant primary schools along Myanmar-Thai border

According to the information from the Kayin State government, school textbooks and stationery were presented to 29 Myanmar migrant basic education schools being operated along the Myanmar-Thai border at the Kayin State government office on 27 June.

As per the information, a total of 5,534 students from KG to Grade 12 are studying in 29 Myanmar migrant basic education schools along the Myanmar-Thai border. These schools are managed by the Burmese Migrant Workers Education Committee (BMWEC).

It is also reported that the Kayin state government has donated 5,543 sets of school textbooks, 4,457 dozens of notebooks, 1,630 dozens of pencils, and 222 dozens of ball-pens to these schools. The donated items were accepted by chair of committee Naw Sar Sae Pho.

The Kayin State Government provides school textbooks and stationery to 29 Myanmar Migrant Basic Education Schools yearly.—ASH/TKO
