Terrorists explode bridge in Thaton

KNLA and PDF terrorists reportedly planted explosives on the No 3/136 reinforced concrete bridge between 134/4 and 134/5 mileposts along the Yangon-Mawlamyine Union Highway in Thaton Township, Mon State, yesterday morning. The bridge measures 10 feet in length and 40 feet in width, and it can withstand 60 tonnes of vehicles. The explosion seriously destroyed the bridge, and traffic was suspended.
Officials from the Department of Highways, along with staff, are actively involved in repairing work, and vehicles could pass the bridge on the same day. Terrorists intentionally exploded non-military targets to affect the public transport and trade flow and impose public fear. Such perpetration leads to war crimes.
