Myanmar youth basketball team won a silver medal at the Colourful Yunnan Basketball Championship held in Yunnan Province, China, as stated by the Myanmar Basketball Federation.
Six ASEAN countries including Myanmar, Thailand and Malaysia and five basketball teams from China totalling 11 teams competed in the U-18 men’s triple basketball event, held from 14 to 20 July. Team Myanmar secured the silver medal together with team Malaysia during the Championship.
The victorious Myanmar basketball team returned to Yangon on the afternoon of 20 July and was welcomed back by officials from Institute of Sports and Physical Education and the Myanmar Basketball Federation at the Yangon International Airport. — TWA/KZL
