Teachers, students from Shwemyo visit MRTV, Kyemon newspaper office

As part of the Global Media and Information Awareness Week programme, a total of 55 students along with their teachers from Shwemyo No 3 Basic Education High School visited Myanmar Radio and Television in Nay Pyi Taw (Tatkon) yesterday morning.
At the main building’s auditorium, MRTV staff performed songs like “Shin Than Nay Mye MRTV” and “Tawthu Aachit”. The MRTV modern band group also presented modern music. The study team then observed news filming at the MRTV News Channel Studio, receiving clear answers to their questions from the officials.
Afterwards, the team visited the MRTV Diamond Jubilee Museum to view historical broadcasting equipment, live broadcasting vehicles, various news presentation formats, documentary photos featuring individuals who participated in past programmes, and the news studio facilities.
Following their participation in the Global Media and Information Awareness Week, the study group visited the News and Periodicals Enterprise on Khayaybin Road in Zeyathiri Township. An official explained the history of newspapers, newspaper production, and distribution. They also presented a video recording showcasing the operations of the News and Periodicals Enterprise.
The study group then observed and studied the printing rooms and newsrooms of the Myanma Alin, the Kyemon newspaper and the Global New Light of Myanmar newspapers. — MNA/KZW
