Taxes levied in H2 of FY2021-2022 amount to K3,069 billion

A 2021-2022 annual report of the Internal Revenue Department mentioned that various kinds of taxes accumulated K3,069 billion in the six months of the 2021-2022 financial year.
From October 2021 to March 2022, the government raised K3,069 billion—K1,424.6 billion in income tax, K998.1 billion in commercial tax, K574.9 billion in specific goods tax and K53.1 billion in stamp duty. It is known that income tax is 46 per cent of the total tax revenue.
Total revenues were collected at K4,745.732 billion in the 2020-2021 financial year and over K3,379 billion in the 2019-2020FY, the information unit under the Central Statistical Organization quoted the Internal Revenue Department as stating. — TWA/CT
