The hotness of summer gradually increases from the last week of February to the last week of May on a yearly basis. Climate change such as volcanic eruption, shaking of earthquakes, high tide, and fires have unprecedented impacts on the global people.
As such, the World Health Organization warned the global people to avoid increasing heat as over 130° F is a danger for humans.
Heatwaves can bring heat stroke and heat exhaustion to humans. Heat can cause thickness of blood in the body and loss of hydration.
Hot sunray can break out diabetes, hypertension, cardiac and cancer diseases in humans. Hence, all Myanmar people need to notice the high temperature in summer, which can harm the health and lives of the people.
The poor people, drunkards, homeless people and labourers working under the sunray are victims of high temperature in summer. Fortunately, trees and forests are still covering many parts of Myanmar, giving shade and shelters to the people in summer.
As for tips on health in summer, people need to avoid physical exercise and drink liquors during the high-temperature period. Older persons and children need to take shelter in summer. Everybody should not take a bath in the day time.
Health organizations and social associations should prepare to provide emergency healthcare services to the people who suffer from the impacts of hotness in summer.
Whenever heat index value reaches more than 120° F, local authorities and health organizations need to warn the people to avoid the high hotness of summer at shelters. They should provide necessary protections to the people to be free from the dangers of hotness.
That is why people should take shelter at day time or stay in the rooms facilitated with air-conditioners if possible.
They should take care of children and older persons as well as people suffering from chronic diseases. Also, they should wear light clothes in white colour, take a bath during the low-temperature period and abide by physicians’ directives.
Global people should make strenuous efforts to shape all the parts of the world under trees and forests as a long-term benefit for greening the environs. That can reduce the heat of summer and change the climate to normalcy as much as possible.
