Sufficient electricity helps operate manufacturing in industrial zones at full capacity

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspects development of Hlinethaya Township under the proper urban construction process yesterday.

Only when industrial zones get sufficient electricity will they operate manufacturing at full capacity, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing yesterday morning, accompanied by Council Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and Council member Lt-Gen Nyo Saw, discussed the urban development process with businesspersons of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises and chairmen of industrial zones in Yangon Region at the hall in Hlinethaya Industrial Zone.
The Senior General stressed that the regional government needs to strive to generate electricity from natural gas, solar energy, and windmills to ensure the sufficiency of electricity in the Yangon Region.
He continued that other regions and states have to operate the electric power sector and other sectors within the frameworks of their authority.
Improving the transport sector with electric vehicles and boosting the electrical industries is necessary. He added that if local demands for fuel and cooking oil are fulfilled, spending amount of foreign currency can be reduced.
The Senior General spotlighted that urban and housing projects must align with the town plans with pleasant and beautifying measures. He continued that arrangements must be made for people from all walks of life to have convenience in their livelihoods and to create a good environment in order to improve the living standards of urban people.
The Senior General stressed the need to improve education standards for the future State and facilitate residents with basic education schools and sports grounds.
The Senior General underscored that long-term plans must be implemented to develop Hlinethaya Township under the proper urban construction process.
The regional chief minister and officials reported on the operation of industrial zones, plans to improve Bayintnaung Park and Bayintnaung Bridge Park, systematic running of vehicles, seeking permission for import of import-substitute raw materials, and systematic settlement of housings in Hlinethaya Township.
The Senior General also inspected the progress of the Bayintnaung Bridge Park project, left necessary instructions, and toured Hlinethaya Township. — MNA/TTA
