Stimulant tablets, ketamine worth K4B+ seized in Kengtung

According to the Myanmar Police Force, stimulant tablets and ketamine valued at more than K4.1 billion were seized in Kengtung, Shan State (East).
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team, including members of Drug Enforcement Division, searched the residence of Ma Ah Mie in Hwayhi Village, Kengtung Township, in Shan State (East) on 22 August.
The search led to the confiscation of 1.25 million stimulant tablets and 427 kilogrammes of ketamine from a Mitsubishi Pajero parked in her compound.
Legal action has been taken against the offender under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations are ongoing to identify others involved in the case. — MNA/KZL
