Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint inspected the printing of school textbooks at the printing factory of the Printing and Publishing Department in Mandalay yesterday morning.
In the meeting with the factory manager and staff, the deputy minister stressed the need to have high print quality, prevent wastage of raw materials, fire safety and worksite security as well as serve the duties in unity.
At Mandalay Region Information and Public Relations Department in the afternoon, the deputy minister met with officials from IPRD at different levels, Sagaing District IPRD, Sagaing Zone re-transmission station, the printing factory, the sub-printing house and the Sarpay Beikman library and instructed them to serve their duties in unison to have success, raise knowledge awareness for students during the summer holidays, urge local people to enrol all school-age children in opening the schools, disseminate information to local people for options to choose the learning opportunities at agriculture, livestock breeding and technical vocational courses at 50 districts after the students have completed KG+9 scheme, emphasize quality of newspapers and publish it in time, and dutifully serve assignments. — MNA/TTA
