Daw Khaing Khaing Zan, director of the Small-Scale Industries Department, has announced plans to conduct over 500 training courses nationwide during the 2024-2025 financial year. These courses will cover a range of topics including foodstuffs, consumer goods, and cosmetics manufacturing.
All courses will be offered free of charge and will encompass six categories, including the production of various snacks, beverages, fruit jams, dried fruits, and instant curries. Additionally, consumer product production courses will feature four different types, covering soap and shampoo production as well as various makeup and lipstick courses.
“Courses have been available since 1 April at district offices across regions and states. Currently, there are still 70 courses open nationwide, all free of charge. These courses focus on consumer goods, cosmetics, and foodstuffs. Many attendees are entrepreneurs from the regions who are self-employed at home. They are learning to produce their products in a systematic manner,” explained Daw Khaing Khaing Zan.
Small-scale entrepreneurs can take advantage of these training courses offered by the Small-Scale Industries Department. If funding is required, the Department will collaborate with the Department of Cooperative to assist in establishing manufacturing cooperative societies by providing capital loans and selling necessary equipment. — ASH/MKKS
