Shan United defeated in ASEAN Club Championship group match

vietnam’s Thanh Hoa beat Myanmar’s Shan United 3-1 on the first day of group A of the 2024-25 ASEAN Club Championship on 21 August.
Although Shan United got the leading goal and tried to get a score away, the rival beat it with three secure goals. Since Shan United lost in the very first group match, it has to make a steadfast effort in the later matches.
In the lineup of the Shan United club, there are four foreign players and local players involving: Nanda Kyaw, Kyaw Zin Phyo, Myo Ko Tun, Thet Hein Soe and Hein Phyo Win. Six minutes after the match commenced, a goal was secured by Shan United’s wing player Moussa Bakayoko.
Thanh Hoa – coached by Popov, who was the former head coach of Myanmar U-22 – could not make an equalizer in the first half. However, it secured goals in the second half and won. For Thanh Hoa, Rimario scored the first goal at 61 minutes, Ramos scored the second goal at 73 minutes, and Antonio scored the third goal at 87 minutes.
