Sesame growers in NyaungU Tsp expecting good price

The growers of sesame seeds in NyaungU Township, Mandalay Region are expecting the price to rise during the harvest time, the growers said.
The growers broadcasted the seeds before rainfall. The flowers of sesame plants are seen in early July, said U Maung Htay, a grower from Tatma village.
The growers from NyaungU Township are mainly relying on oil crops such as peanut and sesame. The growers are expecting a good price at the harvest time.
The prices of sesame seeds are stable at around K38,000 per basket. The price remained unchanged as against last year. The growers hope the price would not decline when the newly harvested sesame enter the market, U Maung Htay elaborated. — KPD/GNLM
