SAC Member inspects regional development activities in Maubin District

State Administration Council Member Mahn Nyein Maung, accompanied by Minister for Ayeyawady Region Security and Border Affairs Colonel Moe Min Naing and Minister for Ayeyawady Region Ethnic Affairs U Saw Lin Khel, inspected the regional development activities in Maubin, Nyaungdon and Pantanaw townships yesterday morning.
The SAC member and officials first attended the ceremony embracing systematic practices to achieve monsoon target yields, held on the five-acre farm of farmer Daw Ni Ni Moe. They inspected the cattle breeding and dairy production operations at the ‘Top Dairy Farm’ in Kyontama village-tract.
The SAC member and officials also inspected the dams at the No 16 Water Sentry station in Wartaw village-tract. They observed a training drill on flood response and search-and-rescue skills workshop.
Moreover, they observed paddy planting using a Drum Seeder on 16 acres of land owned by farmer U Hla Aung in Ngagyigayat village.
Additionally, they met farmers from Maubin district and government officials at the Toe Shwe Wah Hall in Maubin. They discussed challenges affecting monsoon paddy cultivation in the region and distributed seeds to farmers benefiting from the State Economic Promotion Fund.
The SAC member and officials also visited the Ashathar Fish Farm in the Thazinyaykyaw Group Association in Nyaungdon Township to observe the fish farming operations. During the visit, the SAC member issued directives to address the identified needs.
Furthermore, the regional government donated books and provided cash assistance to the ‘Pyinnya Yaung Chi’ Library in Samalauk village. — MNA/ TRKM
