SAC-conferred honorary titles presented

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe hand over the Alinka Kyawswa title to grand-daughter La Pyae Nyein Chan on behalf of author Daw Khin Swe Oo (deceased).

The State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister conferred honorary titles on recipients individually on 1 and 2 January in marking the 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) Independence Day.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Yangon Command Commander Maj-Gen Nyunt Win Swe and officials yesterday handed over honorary titles to family members of those who were unable to attend the conferring ceremony on their own and on their behalf due to various reasons.
On behalf of State Council member U San Maung (retired) (deceased), daughter Daw Kyi Kyi San Maung received the Sithu title; on behalf of author Daw Nu Yin, daughter Daw Soe Nyein received the Alinka Kyawswa title; on behalf of author U Ohn Pe, daughter Daw Ngwe Yi received the Theikpa Kyawswa title; on behalf of State Council Member U Tha Kyaw (deceased), son U San Thein and on behalf of State Council Member U Ohn Kyi (deceased), daughter Daw Khin Htar Ni received the Sithu titles; on behalf of writer Daw Khin Swe Oo (deceased), grand-daughter La Pyae Nyein Chan received the Alinka Kyawswa title; on behalf of Bago Region People’s Council Chairman Lt-Col Tun Kyaw (retired) (deceased), daughter Daw San San Myint received the Thiri Pyanchi title; on behalf of Deputy Minister for Industry-2 Lt-Col Than Nyunt (retired), son U Soe Nyunt Naing received the Wunna Kyaw Htin title; on behalf of Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Mya Thin (retired) (deceased), wife Daw May Nyunt Yi received the Thiri Pyanchi title; and on behalf of Maj-Gen Hla Oo (retired) (deceased) from Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office, daughter Daw Hnin Malar Oo received the Zeya Kyaw Htin title at their homes respectively.—MNA/KZL
