Robber at Sagaing KBZ Bank seized with K303.1M found dead

Photos show bank notes robbed by four terrorists and handphones, pistol and bullets used by terrorists during the robbery of the KBZ Bank in Sagaing.

Four terrorists (under verification) arrived at the Sagaing KBZ Bank 1 by two motorbikes and robbed the bank in Pabedan Ward, Sagaing Township, Sagaing Region, at 4:30 pm on 19 June.
According to reports, the combined patrol teams, which are conducting security in the city’s neighbourhoods, took timely action to arrest culprits.
Within 10 minutes, the combined patrol arrived at the bank and captured one terrorist dead after an exchange of fire. Along with him, officials also confiscated K303.1 million, two handphones, one pistol, nine bullets, one bomb (under verification) and two motorcycles.
According to the investigation, the bank robbers were from a group led by Sin Yine (aka) Khine Zaw Lin of Sagaing District PDF Battalion 2 based in Paunghla Village, and a terrorist who was captured dead was Ko Naung from that group.
The security forces are blocking entrances and exits of the city in order to identify further and arrest the remaining suspects who escaped from the robbery and operate in accordance with security procedures. — MNA/KZL
