With more than K20 million public contribution, rice bags and formula milk power were donated to YGW home for orphans in Pathein, according to Dr Than Min Htut who is well-known as Pindaya Mee Eain Shin for his parahita works.
Located in Pathein in Ayeyarwady Region, YGW houses a total of about 200 children, including 30 young babies who still need bottle-feeding. It costs two rice bags for a day meal.
With a public contribution of more than K21.6 million, 171 rice bags and 114 formula milk powder packs, enough to feed the children for three months, were donated.
“Among those who have been deprived of love, these children don’t get mother’s love, father’s love and family’s love. When we arrive, they give us their hands and ask us to hold them. And they don’t want to get down when they are being carried. They have been lack of love. We provided 171 rice bags and 114 formula milk powder packs with the public contribution for these children,” Dr Than Min Htut wrote on his Facebook account on 23 April.
Donors include more than K8 million donor, K3.7million donor, K2million donor, more than K1.2 million donor and K1million donor.
“We can give Sayadaw the food security for 3 months. We can show love for these orphans who have been lack of love, with a handful of rice, a milk bottle and love of humanity. We can provide love of rice and love of milk powder through this love of rice truck,” he said.
