Renowned composer Dinae Pone Naka passes

Composer Dinae Pone Naka, who has created unique songs from the early stereo period to date, passed away on 17 February, according to the Myanmar Music Association.
The 80-year-old songwriter Dinae Pone Naka (aka) U Ko Lay composed many famous songs, and famous studio singers Kankaw Taw Myo Aung, Bo Bo Han, and Cho Pyone sang his songs.
“We, Myanmar Music Association (Central), are sorry to hear about the loss of composer Dinae Pone Naka (aka) U Ko Lay. He produced very famous modern Myanmar songs and singers. May his soul rest in peace, Dnae Pone Naka (aka) U Ko Lay,” said U Lwin Myint, Chairman of the association.
The songs “Tain Pali Nway Hnaung”, “Khat Mite Mite Chit Kya Soh”, ‘Lu Gyi Min Myar Lat Khote Tee Par”, and “Ngar Bo Bo Han Par A Chit” are still popular nowadays. — ASH/KTZH
