Under the guidance of the National Disaster Management Committee and managed by the Transport and Communications Committee, 404.75 tonnes of rehabilitation materials, including 7,897 rice bags (each containing 24-Pyi) sent by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, as well as medicines and related materials ordered by the Rakhine State Government, were transported from Yangon to Sittway yesterday afternoon via vessel.
From 16 May 2023, to today, a total of 48 vessels, including Navy vessels, have transported 70,230.11 tonnes of rehabilitation materials to Sittway Township in Rakhine State. They include construction and electrical materials, medicines, consumer goods, food, 249,762 gallons of diesel, and 199,886 gallons of Octane 92. — MNA/TRKM
