In this early monsoon, property rental has been more active in North Okkalapa Township which is one of densely populated townships of Yangon Region and where property buying and selling activities were good previously, according to real estate agencies.
Property buying and selling flourished at the end of 2023 and early months of this year in the township.
“In North Okkalapa estate market, there are transactions but house rentals have been seen more this month. Buying and selling were good between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024. Now monsoon season is arriving so we have estimated the house rentals will increase in particular,” said Ko Thurain Tun who runs a real estate service agency in the township.
High-priced land plots transactions also happened as there are buyers who want to run large scale businesses in the township.
In Yangon Region, there are townships where property transactions are happening while there are townships where rents are larger than buying and selling in this year, and prices differ depending on townships.
