Nay Pyi Taw, 14 June — Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw Thura U Shwe Mann met with local people of Pyinmana at Mingalar Kandaw Hall in Pyinmana on Sunday.
At the meeting, Thura U Shwe Mann said that governments and organizations concerned are necessary to cooperate with the Hluttaw to turn people’s voice into Hluttaw’s voice and people’s will into Hluttaw’s will, before adding that the responsibility of the Hluttaw is to pass the will of the people into laws.
Then, he said that being formed with representatives of people, the Hluttaw will work for the interests of the people and the countries without contributing to the interests of any individuals and parties.
Afterwards, the township development supporting committee reported to the speaker on regional development tasks. Local people and politicians also took part in the discussions during the meeting.
In conclusion, the speaker urged local staff to work for the local people.
At 12 noon, Thura U Shwe Mann met with local people at Thirimingalar Hall in Lewe.
At the meeting, the speaker said that the Hluttaw is enacting laws in the interests of the people and the country and authorities are enforcing the laws, before urging people to abide by the law.
Then, the township development affairs committee chairman reported to the speaker on regional development tasks and local people and politicians engaged in discussions.
Also present at the meetings were Deputy Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw U Nanda Kyaw Swa, chairmen and members of Hluttaw committees, officials and local people. MNA
