In the neighbourhoods near Nyaungdon Street of Hlinethaya township, Yangon region, where most garment factory workers live, there have been many real estate transactions, according to market sources.
Despite the rainy season, the houses and plots in the above areas are being bought at a good price.
“Many people buy in Hlinethaya. It can be said to be a good business in this period. There are more transactions on Nyaungdon Street, where YBS buses run. People buy plots in the neighbourhoods of that street. The prices are good. Some buyers are investors who want to resell in the future after waiting for a while. But most buyers coming to me are to live in them,” said a real estate agent in Hlinethaya township.
Real estate units in the Hlinethaya township are getting better prices, and there are more buyers.
“The price of the last six months has changed a little bit. The price became better. The price differences in low-quality wards are not that great. But, in the wards near Nyaungdon Street, the price has improved. It depends on the condition of the house and land. A constant price cannot be set,” he said. — Thit Taw/ZN/ED
