Press conference emphasizes joint statement of 23 political parties

A total of 23 political parties on 11 July issued a joint statement over terror acts of three northern alliance MNDAA/ TNLA/ AA and related armed groups killing innocent people, firing at non-military target major cities of people with the use of heavy weapons and bomb drops, and expelling people of ethnic groups different from them from their controlled areas in Shan State (North).
With regard to the joint statement, officials from Union Solidarity and Development Party, Democratic Party, Union of Myanmar Federation of National Politics Party, and National Political Alliance League Party held a press conference at the USDP headquarters in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
At the press conference, spokesperson U Hla Thein of USDP explained ending of terrorism as quickly as possible in the country, and widening of scope of knowledge of the people to carry out development of the country. Officials from relevant parties replied to queries raised by media. — MNA/TTA
