President U Win Myint leaves for Indonesia to attend ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering

President U Win Myint left for Indonesia on a special flight from Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning at the invitation of Indonesian President Mr. Joko Widodo to attend the ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering.
The delegation led by the President was seen off at the airport by Vice President U Myint Swe, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Union Minister for Transport and Communications U Thant Sin Maung, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr. Myo Aung, Nay Pyi Taw Command Commander Maj-Gen Myint Maw, U Min Thu, Deputy Minister from the Office of the President, Nay Pyi Taw Council member Col. Min Naung, Chief of Myanmar Police Force, Police Lt-Gen Aung Win Oo, Indonesian Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Prof. Dr. Iza Fadri and wife and officials.
The President was accompanied by Union Minister for Commerce Dr. Than Myint, Permanent Secretaries U Khin Latt, U Myint Thu and U Tun Tun Naing, high ranking officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials.
Another member of the delegation Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Soe Win had left for Indonesia earlier on 10 October to attend the International Monetary Fund and World Bank annual meetings, it is learnt.
