Premium diesel 200,000 gallons initially reach Rakhine State

MT Zabu Tansaung Oil Tanker carrying a total of 200,000 gallons of premium diesel arrived at the Shwe Min Gun Jetty in Sittway township of Rakhine State on 16 May and loading and distribution work was being carried out, according to the Fuel Import, Storage and Distribution Supervisory Committee.
The fuel needed for the rescue, relief and resettlement work in Rakhine state affected by the storm is being imported, stored and distributed in accordance with the guidance of the National Disaster Management Committee, the Disaster Management Centre and the Ministry of Energy.
A fuel bowser from Thilawa Port also entered into Sittway township and loading and distribution work is being done at the Shwe Min Gun Jetty in Sittway township.
MT Khine Khine Phyo-33, MT Khine Khine Phyo-34 carrying 250,000 gallons of diesel and 200,000 gallons of 92 Ron fuel will reportedly reach Sittway in a matter of days. — TWA/MKKS
