Political parties allowed to be established continue applying for registration

THOSE who want to establish a political party are applying to the Union Election Commission by stating the name of the party they wish to establish. To date, 15 groups have applied for the right to establish a party. Among the groups that applied for this, 11 political parties have been permitted for establishment.
Among the 11 political parties that have been approved for establishment, the Mon Development Party, led by Min Myo Tint Lwin, has applied to the commission to register as a political party under Rule 7 of the Registration of Political Parties within 30 days from the date of approval for the establishment of the party.
Of the 11 political parties that applied for registration, nine parties have already been permitted, and the Union Election Commission is verifying the registration of the remaining parties. — MNA/KZL
