Aeroplanes resumed landing at Bhamo Airport after it was closed for several days, according to communication with locals.
Bhamo Airport was temporarily closed last week, and landings resumed on 15 March, according to a resident.
“Today, the planes started taking off and landing again. They were Yangon-Mandalay-Bhamo flights. A replacement flight for the one that was suspended last week also arrived,” he said.
The resumption of flights has made it convenient for people planning to travel by air, he added.
“Travelling by air is now convenient. Our residents want these flights to operate as usual. There were many passengers today,” he explained.
Air tickets cost K243,000 for Bhamo-Mandalay, K245,000 for Mandalay-Bhamo, K200,000 each for Bhamo-Myitkyina and Myitkyina-Bhama, K358,000 for Bhamo-Yangon and K360,000 for Yangon-Bhamo. — Htet Oo Maung/ZN/ED
