Pioneering Progress: Focusing on Five Key Methods to Enhance Local Rice Production

Five ways are currently being prioritized to improve domestic rice production, according to the Myanmar Rice Federation.
In carrying out this priority, MSME Engagement and Integration have been developed by linking the market and credit to enable rice trading MSMEs to survive.
Enhancing the productivity of Big Farmers as Micro Entrepreneurs is also being implemented with the participation of farmers who own 10 acres of land or more.They also discussed the Inter-Private Sector – Institutional Developments and Coordination of sub-associations related to rice by region, state, district and township. The methods of implementing the 43 points identified by the rice conference were also carefully discussed. The private sector should consider more emphasis on “market and money and prices and fertilizers and policies” and establish plans to carry out PPD, PPP methods (Market and Price Stabilization, Policy Advocacy, Easier access to Farm Inputs, Fertilizers) etc.
In addition to domestically, the dollar exchange rate and gold prices are also rising exponentially, as well as commodity prices, including rice prices, continue to rise. — TWA/KZL
