Pilgrims flock to lighting festival of Shinpin Sekeinte Pagoda

A lighting festival featuring 3,000 candles was held at Shinpin Sekeinte Pagoda in Minbu, Magway Region, to mark the Tazaungmone Full Moon Day on 27 November.
Pilgrims across Myanmar, departmental officials and members of various associations lit 3,000 candles inside the pagoda compound and sent hot-air balloons into the air, said pagoda board of trustees’ chair U Kyaw Thein. People also visited Nagabwat Mountain, Shin Min Puu Pagoda, Mann Shwe Settaw Pagoda and Shin Pin Chantha Gyi Pagoda on the same day, donating food utensils and doing good deeds. — Maung Maung (Minbu)/KZL
