“Ours is a camp on the banks of the Ayeyawady river. There are more visitors in April (Thingyan) in a year. But the most beautiful scenery at the camp is the time when the river rises. The rainy season starts from Waso. Since then, the recreation rooms built in the river and the elephant camp have become floating rooms. The river almost touches the bridge and it makes the view more beautiful,” said U Myo Min, in charge of the camp.

“The beauty of this landscape is not something that we normally see in the elephant camp. This can only be seen during the rainy season. If the water falls, the water will go back to a very far place, so the landscape will not be available again. We would like to invite you to enjoy the beauty of the landscape during this rainy season created by nature, and to relax and enjoy the beauty while staying in this elephant camp,” he continued.

At the elephant camp, a variety of food is available, including Anyar (upper Myanmar) salad and sugarcane juice. Especially during the rainy season, visitors can also get fresh fish and prawns while enjoying a close view of sending elephants to bathe in the river

“During this rainy season, there are fishing boats in the river. Fresh fish and shrimps are available. We also arrange these things. Visitors had to see the elephants being sent to the river from a distance before. During this rainy season, you can watch the elephants bathing from the bridge. It is a close view,” he said.
